At Bendigo UFS we are trained sleep physicians who are passionate about helping patients with improving their sleep pattern. We’re so passionate because many of us have experienced this too.
Sleep Apnoea is a serious condition that causes excessive daytime drowsiness, poor concentration and memory and over time contributes to other physical and mental conditions.
Patients will often be aware they are snoring or wake up choking because their airway is narrow or becomes relaxed. To truly know if patient has sleep apnoea, a sleep study needs to be undertaken.

A sleep study at Bendigo UFS Pharmacies is a great alternative to having to spend the night in a sleep clinic or hospital. You simply bring the device back to the pharmacy the next day and your report will be read and data interpreted by a sleep apnoea specialist doctor and will provide a diagnosis.
Can sleep apnoea be fixed?
Depending on the severity of the sleep condition a CPAP machine will be required. There are a variety of CPAP machines available to support the opening of the airways. Bendigo UFS will support you select which CPAP machine is right for you and gets the best night’s sleep for you.
Home Sleep Studies
We provide two types of at home sleep studies also known as diagnostic testing available at Bendigo UFS Health Hub.
Both are Level 2 tests. (In addition to monitoring your breathing activity, oxygen levels, and heart rate, a level 2 sleep study monitors brain and muscle activity).

Trials
CPAP/APAP Sleep Trial

Inclusive of machine hire costs as well as 5x patient consultations (initial + 4x weekly reviews). During these consultations the patient also has the opportunity to try various styles and sizes of masks and comfort settings to further assist in ensuring optimum CPAP/APAP therapy and sleep quality at the end of the trial.
CPAP Mask Only Trial
$4995
Caters for hire of mask equipment as well as the fitting/cleaning time for a 1 week trial of the selected mask.
Fitting time can vary depending on the number of masks that may need to be tested.
Your CPAP/APAP Machine
Sleep Apnoea Machine Set up and Education

Setting up and tailoring* your Sleep Apnoea machine ready to take home. This service includes education on Sleep Apnoea and how to gain the best results from your new machine to ensure regular high quality sleep. A treatment record from your medical practitioner is highly recommended to ensure the most appropriate clinical setup is applied#.
The machine is provided in the morning and ready for collection the same day!
*Additional fees for parts and accessories required will be charged ie. Tubing.
#Treatment record or referral should be within 12 months from the appointment date.
A repeated sleep study is recommended outside of this time.
CPAP/APAP Machine Clean and Check (Machine Service)

A in depth consultation plus providing a full clean and check of the machine and replace parts as required*. Cleaning advice is provided to ensure the longevity of your machine as well as sleep education.
The machine is provided in the morning and ready for collection the same day!
