Bendigo UFS Menbership Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to the operation of the Bendigo UFS (“BUFS”) [ACN 51 087 822 268] Membership Program ("Membership")

 

2. Membership Eligibility & Registration

  • Individuals can apply to join or renew by visiting any BUFS Pharmacy or BUFS Optical, or online at www.bendigoufs.com.au.

·         BUFS reserves the right to refuse any application for membership or renewal at its sole discretion.

  • Members must be Australian residents.

  • Applicants under 18 years of age require parental/guardian consent.

  • Membership benefits are for personal and household family member use only. Multiple household members may each purchase their own membership if desired.

  • Membership must be financial (paid and up to date) to access benefits, earn points, and redeem rewards.

  • Using or quoting your membership card during a transaction or registering for membership in accordance with these terms constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

 

3. Membership Card & Account

  • Members may be issued a card, but membership will also operate without one.

  • The account holder is the member, regardless of who holds the card.

  • Membership cards cannot be transferred or used as credit or guarantee cards.

 

4. Termination of Membership

BUFS may terminate your membership with prior notice to you if:

  • Information you provide to BUFS is false, misleading, or not your own.

  • Membership fees are unpaid.

  • A participating store ceases association with BUFS.

  • you are abusive or offensive to any BUFS staff.

  • The program is withdrawn entirely, for any reason, in which case BUFS will give you at least 60 days’ notice (except where BUFS becomes insolvent or enter administration).

 Termination of membership removes membership details from our database, forfeits membership benefits, points accrued and rewards.

 A member may terminate their membership at any time by emailing info@bendigoufs.com.au. Voluntary termination by you forfeits membership benefits, points accrued and rewards.

 If a membership account is unpaid and no transaction has been recorded by the member for more than 2 years, BUFS may cancel a membership and remove the member’s details from their database completely. Affected members will be notified by email and/or SMS prior to this cancellation occurring.

 5. Member Benefits

  • Benefits, rewards, points and offers (“benefits”) will be communicated in-store and via email, SMS, website, or BUFS social channels.

  • All benefits are personal, non-transferable, and subject to availability.

  • BUFS may change, amend, or withdraw benefits at its discretion.

  • Proof of membership may be required at redemption.

  • All rewards are subject to availability, including vouchers.

  •  You have certain guarantees, rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law and which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. 

6. Points & Rewards Program

  • Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent on qualifying purchases (rounded down).

  • Qualifying purchases exclude prescriptions and fully subsidised health services (e.g. a government funded vaccination). Other items may be excluded from time to time, as nominated by BUFS. Excluded products and services are listed on our website in the FAQs section of the member page.

  • Every 100 points allows a member to claim ONE $5 reward, redeemable in multiples of $5 only.

  • Members may redeem rewards as discounts or donate them to the BUFS Community Group of the Month.

  • Points cannot be backdated without BUFS approval.

  • Points balances appear on receipts and accounts.

  • Points expire if not redeemed within two (2) years of being earnt, but accounts remain active if membership fees are current.

  • BUFS may adjust balances in cases of error or suspected fraud.

  • Bonus points may be offered during promotions.

  • Points have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or sold.

 7. Vouchers

 Joining / Renewal Voucher

  • Each member will receive a voucher, loaded on to their account, within 4 weeks of membership payment.

  • The voucher is valid for 30 days on purchases of $20 or more at BUFS Pharmacies (but cannot be used to pay for prescriptions, or for any BUFS Optical purchases).

  • One voucher is available per membership, for single use only.

 Birthday Voucher

  • Each member will receive a voucher loaded to their account and emailed on or after their birthday (DOB must be recorded on the member’s account at least one week prior).

  • The voucher is valid for 30 days on purchases of $20 or more at BUFS Pharmacies (but cannot be used to pay for prescriptions, or for any BUFS Optical purchases).

  • One voucher is available per membership, for single use only.

 General Voucher Conditions

  • Vouchers are not transferable or redeemable for cash.

  • Conditions and value may vary by promotion and will be stated at time of issue.

  • BUFS may assume the bearer of a voucher is authorised to redeem it.

 8. Nurse Consultations

  • Members receive unlimited Nurse on Duty consultations.

  • Service fees may apply for certain treatments (e.g., stitches, screenings, vaccinations).

 9. Privacy & Communications

  • Applicants for membership acknowledge and agree that, in applying for membership, BUFS collects personal information to administer the program, for marketing and research, and may use de-identified data for analysis.

  • Members may receive communications via email, SMS, or mail. Opt-outs are available per channel but service-based communications (e.g. updates on your prescriptions or appointment confirmations) may still be sent by your pharmacy or BUFS.

  • Withdrawal of membership removes membership details from our database and forfeits rewards.

  • Information may be disclosed to affiliates, prize providers, or as required by law.

  • Applicants and members, by applying for membership, agree to BUFS Privacy Policy: www.bendigoufs.com.au/privacy-policy.

 10. General Conditions

  • BUFS may amend these terms or withdraw the program at any time with notice.

  • BUFS will give you reasonable notice of any change to these terms and conditions (by email, on our website, SMS etc)

  • BUFS is not liable for account disruptions, misuse, or unavailability.

  • Limitations of liability extend to BUFS affiliates and participating outlets.

  • No waiver applies unless confirmed in writing.

  • If any clause is invalid, it will be read down or severed, and the remainder will still apply.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria. Disputes are subject to Victorian courts.
