Dry eye

DID YOU KNOW?

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

All UV eye exposure adds up over time.  Accumulated UV exposure to your eyes can lead to a variety of problems and diseases, notably cataract, macular degeneration, pterygium, “sunburn” which causes irritation and pain, skin cancer on the eyelids and around the eyes.

Reduce your UV eye exposure by wearing sunglasses (made to Australian Standards), UV coatings on your prescription glasses, wearing a hat (can reduce UV to your eyes up to 40%), staying out of UV as much as possible.  Remember that UV levels are three times higher in summer than in winter months, and that UV levels are much higher with reflected light like off water or snow.

It is important to have a regular eye test with your eye care provider to ensure detection of any abnormalities because you may not know there is a problem.  Early detection is essential for more effective treatment.

For all eye test bookings or any other enquiries call UFS Optical 5441 8077
