COVID-19 Updated 27th of March

We’re changing to support you and the community.

Our stores are making necessary short-term adaptations due to the
COVID-19 pandemic in the order to provide a safe and clean space for you to visit for all your health and wellbeing needs.

One person only foyers are being installed in all stores from tomorrow Saturday 28 March so that physical distancing practices can apply.

We are experiencing high demand at present and therefore prescription processing times are taking longer than normal.

If you need a prescription filled, we have multiple options that reduce your time at the Pharmacy during this virus pandemic.

  • Download MedAdvisor from your Apple or Google Play App Store and call your preferred UFS Pharmacy to arrange setup.
  • Phone ahead to have your prescription prepared prior to coming to the pharmacy
  • Your Doctor can fax or email the prescription directly to your preferred UFS Pharmacy
  • Visit the store
  • Home delivery beginning Monday 30 March

If unsure, simply phone ahead and we’ll help you

The UFS Pharmacies’ team is working hard to be able to continue to serve our community. We thank you for your understanding and patience during these challenging times as we continuously adapt. Rest assured we are remaining open to support your health and wellbeing.

COVID-19 Update

The Health and Wellbeing of our customers, employees and the broader Bendigo Community is the reason our UFS Pharmacies exist. As a result of the COVID-19 virus pandemic we have had to operate in a different way to ensure we continue to protect our customers and employees. These changes will continue to evolve as this situation develops and the appropriate government authorities make decisions that we will respond to as quickly as practicable.

Pharmacy

Our pharmacies will continue to supply you with medications and advice to improve your health and wellbeing. As part of our response to the COVID-19 virus we have implemented the following initiatives.Hygiene – the most effective protection: To protect you and our team members we have enforced stricter hygiene protocols focused on reducing physical contact, increasing the use of hand sanitation and the cleaning of key areas within our pharmacies including our prescription counters, register workstations and consulting rooms.

Waiting in the Pharmacy
Due to the relatively high demand at present our prescription wait times are longer than usual and therefore we recommend customers drop there prescription in, then leave and return later to pickup the filled prescription. We are suggesting this because it will mean you spend less time in a confined environment with other people. Our team are doing their best to process your prescriptions as quickly as possible however longer wait times will continue for the foreseeable future.

Symptoms or Recent Overseas Travel
If you have symptoms of respiratory illness (eg fever, cough, shortness of breath runny nose), or you have returned from overseas in the past 14 days we ask that you ring the Department of Health CoronaVirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 or your GP before coming into our stores.

Flu Vaccinations
Will be important as COVID-19 progresses to minimise the impact on the health system therefore we recommend obtaining a Flu Vaccination – please check stock availability on our website and then come in no appointment needed.

Medications
We recommend customers continue to purchase 30 days supply of their medication. Australia does not have a shortage of medications however panic buying is causing issues across the supply chain and to ensure those people who need it receive their medication we must adhere to government guidelines which enforce 30 days supply.

COVID-19 Symptom Relief
There are key lines like panadol and nurofen that are seeing shortages in store. To ensure everyone can get access to these items we have placed restrictions on some products. We apologise for any inconvenience and our team is working hard to keep stock on the shelves.

Services
There are some services that we will restrict or change to minimise physical contact and this will be advised via updates to our website and in-store. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience.

UFS Optical

Temporarily Closed

We wish to advise our valued customers and members that due to this unprecedented COVD-19 crisis we are temporarily closing our UFS Optical store.

We will reopen once the situation settles and will be in contact with our customers as soon as we have the all clear from authorities to begin operating again.  Please keep an eye on our website and facebook page for any further updates.

If you have anything for collection then our UFS Optical reception will be open until Saturday the 28th March.   Please call the store on 5441 8077 to arrange pickup or if you have any queries prior to Saturday.
